We are delighted to announce the successful launch of the AfriFOODlinks Bridging the Gaps programme, an intensive 6-week journey designed to empower and support entrepreneurs in maximizing their input while balancing profitability. This initiative is a significant step towards fostering sustainable and socially impactful businesses within the food system.
A Promising Start
On Monday, the programme commenced with an enthusiastic cohort of 47 entrepreneurs who have advanced to this crucial phase. The excitement in the room was evident as our incubatees gathered to embark on this journey. The core focus of the Bridging the Gaps programme is the Social Business Model Canvas, a tool that will be central to all activities and discussions over the next six weeks.
Interactive Learning and Peer Support
The programme will include interactive masterclasses and peer-to-peer discussions, designed to provide an understanding of social business models. These sessions are designed to encourage collaboration, idea exchange, and mutual support among the participants.
Defining Vision and Mission
Our partners at Unexplored Cape Town played a pivotal role in the first masterclass by helping the entrepreneurs define their business vision and mission. This foundational exercise set the tone for the programme, allowing the participants to articulate and refine their goals.
Weekly Gatherings for Continuous Growth
The incubatees will gather weekly for the next six weeks, delving deeper into the finer details of their business models and strategies. We are incredibly proud of the progress made so far and look forward to witnessing the growth and success of these inspiring entrepreneurs.
Stay tuned for more updates on their journey as we continue to bridge gaps and drive positive change in the food system.
